As temps start to cool down from summer, fall and Halloween are right around the corner. One of our customers, Deb Spiers, put a new twist on the pattern Arnie by Bunny Hill Designs and used various Halloween fat quarters to make a cute seasonal wall hanging. And what's better for Halloween than cats a and mice?! Come in and grab a Halloween fat quarter and create a cute wall hanging in a snap.
This Village Bag by Me and My Sister Designs was made using the Cocoon Metamorphosis fabric by Valerie Wells for Free Spirit. It's a perfect shoulder sling bag and the fabric transitions from summer to fall.
Another great carry-all bag and gift ideas are the Jelly Bag, pattern by Bunny Hill Designs and the Zippy Strippy by Atkinson Designs, both done in a muted batik line by Moda, Love Letter Batiks. The Jelly Bag is a roomy, soft shoulder bag made with 2 1/2" strips and the Zippy Strippy also takes 2 1/2" strips and is a quilt-as-you-go bag with simple zipper. Becky has the kits for them for $20 including the inside fabric, strips, pattern, zipper and star buttons by Buttons Galore & More.
As fall quickly approaches, not far behind are the Christmas holiday's. Becky made this quick and easy San Francisco Window Boxes by Sweet Jane's using a fat quarter bundle of Holidays in Kashmir by Sentimental Studios for Moda. Simple squares and rectangles using these rich, luxurious fabrics create a stunning table topper, over the sofa throw or wall hanging.
Also, make a quick wall hanging from this panel by Timeless Treasures, Nature's Holiday. Just add an inner and outer border, backing and quilt for your own home or a gift.
